What ProphetTalk is

ProphetTalk lets you hold a conversation with AI characters based on figures from scripture. Each reply is generated by a large language model and grounded in passages retrieved from a public-domain translation of the Bible.

These are AI characters. They are not the people they portray, they are not a religious authority, and they do not speak for God or for any church, denomination or tradition. They can be wrong, including about the text they quote. Treat what they say as a starting point for your own reading, not as fact.

Not advice

Nothing ProphetTalk produces is medical, legal, financial, psychological or spiritual advice, and it must not be relied on as any of those. The characters are instructed to decline such questions, but an instruction is not a guarantee.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line. In the United States you can call or text 988. ProphetTalk is not a crisis service and cannot help you in an emergency.

Accounts

You need an account to keep a conversation or to subscribe. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for the accuracy of the email address you sign in with. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live.

Free use

Without a subscription you may send one message per calendar month. Signing up does not add to that allowance — signed-out and signed-out-but-free use share the same count.

Subscription, billing and cancellation

• A subscription costs $8 per month (USD) and renews automatically each month until you cancel.
• Payment is taken by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• A subscription includes up to 100 messages per calendar month. This is a fair-use limit that covers ordinary conversation; we will tell you in the app when you are near it.
• You can cancel at any time, in one click, from your account page. Cancelling stops the next renewal.
• When you cancel you keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Nothing is cut off early.

Refunds

Because you keep access through the period you paid for, cancelling is normally enough and no refund is due. If the service did not work as described, or you were charged in error or by accident, write to prophettalksupport@gmail.com within 30 days of the charge and we will refund it.

We would rather refund someone who is unhappy than argue about it.

Price changes

If the price changes we will email you at least 30 days beforehand. The new price applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the service to harass anybody, or to produce material that is unlawful or that sexualises children;
• present ProphetTalk's output as the genuine words of a real person, as divine revelation, or as the position of a religious body;
• resell access, share an account, or use automated means to send messages;
• attempt to extract the system prompts, circumvent the usage limits, or interfere with the service or its bot protection.

We may suspend or close an account that does these things. If we close a paid account for this reason we will refund the unused part of the current period.

Your content

What you write stays yours. You give us permission to process it in order to run the service — which means sending it to our model provider to generate a reply, and storing it so you can come back to the conversation. We do not use it to train models, and we do not sell it. See the Privacy Policy.

Availability

The service is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will be available or uninterrupted. It depends on third parties, and they have outages. We do not promise a particular uptime.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, ProphetTalk is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any decision you make on the basis of something a character said. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.

Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters we will say so in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the change.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
